Peter Vonder Haar
Pete Vonder Haar majored in history and political science at the University of Texas. Faced with harsh economic reality soon after graduating, he attended graduate school at the George Washington University. Smart enough to earn a Master's, but still too dumb to major in Business, he moved to Houston and became a (part-time) movie critic. He's now a contributing editor at Film Threat, and has been the
site's lead movie critic since 2004. where he reviews major Hollywood
releases and has covered the Sundance Film Festival, South by Southwest,
deadCenter, and CineVegas. His entertainment articles have also appeared
in the magazine NewType-USA.
Pete is married and has one daughter, to whom he hopes he can pass along the mantel of "Crankiest Critic" bestowed upon him in 2007 by the Los Angeles Times.
