Louis B. Parks
Louis B. Parks began reviewing movies for his long-suffering friends as a boy and continued the bad habit on the Lamar (Houston) High School and University of Houston newspapers. He first got paid for it on Houston After Dark and the Conroe Courier. For much of his 28 years as a staff feature writer for the Houston Chronicle, he did film interviews, previews and reviews as well as Oscar and festival coverage. He lives with Susan Nenney in Wimberley, where the one movie theater is an outdoor walk-in, open only on summer weekends.
