Daniel Carlson
Daniel Carlson made it to Houston by way of San Antonio, Abilene, Los
Angeles. His earliest film memory is seeing a theatrical reissue of
"Song of the South" as a boy, the weirdness of which didn't sink in
for decades. He's been in love with movies since childhood, which led
him to running the Arts section at his college paper before working as
a script intern at Brooklyn Films and then a copy editor and
contributing writer and critic at The Hollywood Reporter. He's the
managing editor of Pajiba.com and has also written reviews for THR,
PopMatters, Metaphilm, the Willamette Week, and the Houston Press.
He's covered everything from Comic-Con to South by Southwest, and has
probably way too many opinions about movies you should be watching. He
blogs at SlowlyGoingBald.com.
